Synopsis

How do you come back when everything has been destroyed? While Elizabeth works to fully regain her memory, she must also work through the pain of betrayal. Meanwhile, David isn't going down without a fight and will do whatever it takes to win the love of his life back. The only problem is that he's not the only one vying for Elizabeth's heart. Caution: This is the conclusion to From This Day Forward. This is not a stand alone. This story contains disturbing situations, graphic violence, sex, and strong language. That being said, it does have a happily ever after. "I close my eyes and move my mouth over his. For a man whose hands are callused and rough from years of hard labor, his lips are surprisingly soft. The sparks are off the charts and I worry that they’ll light a fuse, causing me to self-destruct. I ignore my doubts and instead turn reason over to my mouth, exploring the man I pledged to love until death."

My Review

This was the second book in the "From this Day Forward Series." See my review on that book.

SPOILER ALERT!! (Do not read if you do not want to be spoiled.) I left this book a 5 star.

This book had a twist that I did not see coming.

Lets start off by saying that Beth is still recovering from her memory from her horrific car accident from book one but she still continues to love and trust David with everything in her. Their love is strong but being tested. Both have been unfaithful. David with Jess and Beth with Landon. The only thing is, she is having issues with David now having a baby by another woman. After he cheated on her in book one and found out that Jess was pregnant. Something just wasn't right. David began to ask for paternal test. Beth had told him that she did not know if she could live her life with him if Jess's baby with his. It just so happened that Jess showed up the same day at the doctors office for her paternal test, which was the same day that Beth was there for her pregnancy exam. Beth had took another girlfriend with her that day which was very helpful as she had to run around for her but her friend seen something's that made her question if Jess was telling the truth about the baby.

In the meantime, on the news there was a disappearance of the girl that Landon use to date. This caught the eye on those that knew Landon. Beth and Landon were brought in and questioned but soon released after no evidence was formed against him. Landon was not happy because Beth's story, as he said was not truthful.

So, with out telling the rest of this story, is Jess really pregnant? Is Landon reliable for his ex-girlfriends death? Will David and Beth find their way back together? Lets just say this book took a turn that was so unreal. I could not put the book down the closer it got to the end.

Meet the Author

Shannon is a born and raised Texan. She grew up inventing clever stories, usually to get herself out of trouble. Her mother was not amused. In junior high, she began writing fractured fairy tales from the villain's point of view and that was the moment she knew that she was going to use her powers for evil instead of good. In 2003, she moved to Denver and met the love of her life. After some relentless stalking and a few well-timed sarcastic remarks, the man eventually gave in to her charms and wifed her so hard. They welcomed a son in 2007 that they named after their favorite Marvel superhero, Spiderman. Sick of seeing beautiful mountains through their window every day, the three escaped back to the desolate landscape of the west Texas desert in 2009. She welcomed her second son not long after and soon realized that being surrounded by three men was nothing at all like she'd imagined in her fantasies. After an unplanned surgery in 2014 and a long pity party, she decided to pen a novel about the worst thing that could happen to a person in order to cheer herself up. She's twisted like that. Thus, From This Day Forward was born and the rest, as they say, is history. Not only does Shannon enjoy stalking people, she also has a fondness for being stalked.
