On her search for kinship in this seemingly haunted jail like mansion, she discovers a mystery lurking and breathing, crying out for discovery. However, when she and her friends attempt to solve the mystery, they are only left with more questions.
My Review:
This was the cutest book! I have had this book on my shelf for about a year. I finally pulled it off and gave it a read. I met the author I believe at Utopia last year and picked this book up. I wish I would have got the series. I loved this book. I starts with a girl name Holly, her mother told her to make her bed and she tried and tried to get help from her siblings to help her. She was warned by them that if she didn't make the bed, she would go the Children's Horrible House. It was too late. She didn't make her bed on time and off she goes with two men that look like men in black, she was off to "The Children's Horrible House" There she was made to learn how to clean and make beds all day long until she got it right but in the process of the house she began to hear things and she became curious to find out the mystery behind this house. After finding a book in the library, that she was the only one to ever find, things became interesting. She was made fun of and was an outcast until she made a few friends but not without it's difficulties. This book is full of labyrinths, mystery books, fun names of teachers, and cleaning. I would recommend this for any teen.
