Synopsis:
Can a pure, but broken heart fuel the war to control the NeverSea?
"The Little Mermaid & Peter Pan together in a sci-fi retelling."
Forced under the sea, seventeen-year-old Arya fights, alongside her sisters, to take down the Syndicate—a group looking to genetically redesign humanity against their will. When a routine patrol goes horribly wrong, she reunites with Peter, the ousted former leader of the Lost Boys. Arya and Peter's tortured past, filled with genetic experimentation, fuel their need for justice.
Years earlier, Peter left young Arya when she needed him the most, leaving her torn from James, the love of her life.
Now, Arya has no choice, but to trust Peter or risk losing everything.
In a future where a constantly rising sea has swallowed nearly all the land on Earth, Arya and Peter fight to regain control of Neverland, a massive floating settlement, now controlled by the Syndicate.
The abilities forced on them years ago, are now the weapons they need to fight back.
Fans of The Lunar Chronicles series will love this exciting and epic new, young adult series.
My Review
***This ARC was given by the author in exchange for an honest review***
I loved this. This was a different style book for me. I have a few on my shelves but I have never pulled them to read them. Now I think I will have to read them thanks to this cute book.
This is mix of your little mermaid and peter pan story. I love the twist on this book. If you love mutations and special powers with a crazed scientist that loves giving humans super powers, this book will be for you!
Arya: This is the main character and with her being the doctors first test subject, she has been give the ability to breathe and swim underwater with her gills and speed. Her sisters were given similar abilities but not as nothing like what Arya was given. Ayra has her boyfriend James, which is the son of the scientist and also works at the facility with his mom, and her Friend Peter, who has the ability to fly, and Arya's childhood friend, fight beside her in this epic tale.
The love story between Ayra and James is so cute. I love their journey.
After years of being apart while trying to escape will they find their friendships still exist?? Reading this book will enlighten your day. It is such a cute and fast read.

Meet the author:

I’m Jenetta, and I get a lot of out of the blue ideas… like adopting kids and writing a novel.
But why should life be boring? Not that you have to adopt kids or write a novel for your life to be exciting.
I’ve learned so much since the end of 2014. I’m not completely sure what spurred it but at the time I simply had a fire litunderneath me. I realized that unless you set out to do something, really do something, it won’t ever get done.
Life is too busy, and it will wash over you until you realize you never got anything done you wanted to.
So my advice? Make your life happen or it will just happen to you.
I live in the lovely Southern California area with my Hubby and my two beautiful daughters (whom which without, I neverwould have had the inspiration for my story).
Right now, I am in the process of writing my first novel, Broken/Beautiful World:
In exchange for love, uniqueness and free will, the government has bestowed the human race with health, prosperity and a promisingfuture. Over one hundred years after a virus called Aves decimated the earth’s population the remaining survivors thrive in the safety of the city, away from the death and destruction of the Outerbounds. Divided into three Levels of Intelligence Potential, Citizens focus solely on duty.
But on her eighteenth birthday and the day she becomes a true Citizen Avlyn receives an odd message, lose your life, and you might find it,from a mysterious stranger. Avlyn has always wanted more and secretly longs to join the rebellion. Is this the chance she has been lookingfor? A better life may await her, but if she says yes will she lose it all? As publishing it gets closer I will let you know, so please be on the lookout!
