Synopsis:
Presented by James Patterson's new children's imprint, this deliciously creepy horror novel has a storyline inspired by the Ripper murders and an unexpected, blood-chilling conclusion... Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord's daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life. Against her stern father's wishes and society's expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle's laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world. The story's shocking twists and turns, augmented with real, sinister period photos, will make this dazzling, #1 New York Times bestselling debut from author Kerri Maniscalco impossible to forget

My Review of Stalking the Ripper:
I gave this book 5 stars!
This is was a new book for me. I don't normally listen to Historical Fiction but this has set a new found love for it. I loved this book. This book follows the acts of Jack the Ripper that was set in 1888. This book was so detailed that I actually began to Google the story of Jack the Ripper and to my surprise this was following his time line in 1888. Yet there are some fictional characters and actions to elaborate the story, I still love this book. Audrey Rose was so fun to read about. Not only did we follow the story of Jack the Ripper but also a love story between Audrey and Thomas. The love story was not over done and did no way take away from the story line of this book. This book kept you guessing until the end as who Jack the Ripper truly is. Kerri Maniscalco became a favorite author for me. So far this has hit one of my 2018 favorite reads.
I am currently reading Book 2, Hunting Prince Dracula. I will get my review up on it once it is finished.
Book 3 "Escaping from Houdini" is set to release Sept. 18, 2018.
