My Review:
This was okay. I completed this book in about 40 minutes. I don't know. Not sure if I am just not a short story kind of person. I don't feel we get enough behind the story. It was about an elderly couple, where 2 dark eyed children, showed up at their doorstep knocking on their door in the middle of a snow storm. Jack Nightingale was called in to investigate the matter and the children. When he got to town he ran into other incidences with the 2 dark eyed children. This book is very dark and the closer it gets to the end of the story it got darker. It was not for me, BUT with that being said, if you like dark, this book may be for you. The author did give you a great world building in the short length of time of reading this novel.
There are many story in the Jack Nightingale line. You can find them all on amazon.
